Shawn Roy is very pleased to be back at Saint Barnabas. Working with this choir again feels like a homecoming for him, having served as interim choir director/organist a few years ago.
Since Shawn left Saint Barnabas, he has continued with work at UL Lafayette as Voice Instructor and Director of Opera and Musical Theatre activities. He has also continued to perform with the ASO and to do some recital work around the country. He and his pianist, Chan Kiat Lim, recently released a CD entitled "An American Kaleidoscope: Song Cycles through the lenses of William Bolcom, John Duke, Thomas Pasatieri and Ned Rorem on the Centaur Records label. The CD is available in Lafayette at Barnes and Noble Booksellers. Shawn will be performing in the ASO's chamber series at the ACA this May 31, doing an evening of music written in Paris during the 1920's and 1930's.
If there are any young adults in the Saint Barnabas community who would be interested in playing instruments with the choir, please come by and chat with Shawn in the near future.
